Dear friend
James and I have recently had a trip to the USA to meet with staff at Metro World Child (MWC) in New York and connect with people who support Metro Kids Africa (MKA) in Georgia. This was our first trip to the USA in several years and it was a time of real encouragement for us.
Pastor Bill Wilson, who founded Metro World Child, was our inspiration to begin working with disadvantaged children many years ago. The programmes used successfully in New York were the ones that we adapted in South Africa back in 2005. Our partnership with MWC was strengthened at this visit and we are excited at how God is going to work in the near future.
We continue to pray for more growth in both Uganda and South Africa and believe that God can help MKA achieve this. Both countries have different needs, but both countries desperately need children to be impacted by the Christian message and the life value lessons taught each week at programmes children and teenagers attend.
We had a wonderful time connecting with people from the Atlanta area who had previously been on mission trips to Cape Town. What an encouragement it is for us to have people support MKA generously over many years!
Grace Fellowship in Augusta continues to amaze us with their warmth towards us. We were welcomed as family and even gained new sponsors for children! Thank you to all at this church for the part you play in helping MKA reach children in Africa.
We thank you all for your continued support over the years!
With love
James, Janet and all at MKA
